Recycled Tunes is a music education program by the Gasparilla Music Foundation that provides new and used instruments to Title I schools, individual students, and youth programs across Tampa Bay. We also offer free classroom instrument repairs to support music teachers and their students.

The Gasparilla Music Festival is the primary program of the 501(c)(3) nonprofit Gasparilla Music Foundation, which also runs the Recycled Tunes instrument program. A portion of the proceeds from the festival go towards the Recycled Tunes program. GMF founded Recycled Tunes as one of its many initiatives to support the arts in Tampa Bay.

Thank you! Due to a recent, large donation of instruments, we are currently only accepting certain core band instruments including woodwinds, brass and strings. Please fill out our Instrument Donation Review Form and we will let you know if we are able to accept it at this time.
We also hold instrument drives throughout the year where we accept certain instruments in exchange for free tickets to the Gasparilla Music Festival. Our next drive is currently TBA.

We historically accept new and gently used instruments of all types—band, orchestra, percussion, string, and more! As we prepare for the critical needs of the 26-27 school year, we are currently only accepting core band instruments such as woodwinds, brass and strings.
Please contact us through our Instrument Donation Review Form if you have a woodwinds, brass or strings instrument that you would like to donate.

We work with local repair shops to repair gently used instruments that are donated to our program. Music teachers - if you have an instrument in your classroom that needs repaired, fill out request form and tell us what needs fixing—we’ll see if we can help.

It’s easy! Just visit our Teacher Request Form page, tell us what you need, and we’ll reach out. Requests are filled on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to inventory availability.

We primarily serve Title I schools and youth music programs in the Tampa Bay area. If you’re a music teacher in need, we encourage you to reach out regardless of your school’s designation—we do our best to help everyone we can.
